ATTENTION ALL LOCAL 25 MEMBERS!! MANDATORY OSHA 10+ CLASSES COMING UP!  The Joint Union/Employer Training Fund has scheduled 3 OSHA 10+ classes coming up in the Phaldelphia area. These classes are an initiative between Local 25 and our signatory contractors based on a mandatory requirement from the signatory contractors that all of our members on their projects have this training. We are holding the 2 day class for 3 weeks in a row to account for work rotation schedules. The dates of the classes are Feb 21-22, 2017, Feb 28 - March 1, 2017 and March 7-8, 2017. If you are working or live in this area, please contact Gabby at the Philly Hall for more information on signing up. We are holding these classes so they don't affect the work rotations on the projects.

DENTAL COVERAGE LIMIT INCREASED! Your Local 25 Trustees Jerry Abell, Anthony Gonziewski and Scott Reeves, along with the employ Trustees, of the Medical Plan have voted to increase the yearly reimbursement amount of the Dental Plan from $750 to $900. The Trustees are continuing to look at other options to continue to enhance the medical benefits offered to our members while keeping the financial health of our Medical Plan in excellent shape. If you have any questions, feel free to call the Plans Office at (800) 548-6662.

Training Funding Approved for Mobile Training Classes

The Joint Union/Employer Training Fund has approved funding to create a mobile training facility and curriculum for Local 25 members.  This is a cost effective and convenient way for us to start holding our own training classes and to reach as many members as possible.  We are currently developing curriculum for a wide variety of classes, including First Aid/CPR, entry level & advanced level rigging, basic firefighting, signal and seamanship training, heavy equipment operator training, NCCCO preparedness training and much more.  We will have the ability to have a trainer travel to jobsites and other locations in order to hold these classes for interested members. Our goal is to create a training program that reflects the needs of the industry, the needs of our signatory contractors and the needs of our members. This program is a vital component in continuing to ensure that our membership is the most competent, skilled and sought after workforce in the industry.  This is a benefit to the Union and to the Contractors. This is also an important tool in attracting companies that will want to utilize our well trained workforce, as well as attracting qualified workers who want to join our growing organization.
